The Netherlands, the world’s second-largest agricultural exporter, is one of the top greenhouse gas emitters in Europe — especially of nitrogen — with much of this blamed on cattle-produced manure and fertiliser.

Farmers say they are targeted while big business and industry slide, with many vowing to resist any plans to scale down or close farms.

“It’s not normal, what’s being done to the farmers,” 74-year old protester Jan Poorter told AFP. “”You can’t just close farms that are hundreds of years old. You just can’t!”

We hadden mensen bij elkaar voor een lezing ken je recht, als onderdeel van self Empowerment waardoor we in een besloten ruimte bij elkaar mogen komen. Boa en politie kwamen tussendoor lamgsgereden en vroegen te sluiten. Ik heb ze naar hun bevoegdheden gevraagd die de gemeente sinds nov 2020 nog niet heeft kunnen aantonen.

Dat konden ze niet aantonen en zeiden na een half uur trg te komen voor ontruiming als t dan niet leeg was. Toen ze weggingen heb ik de deur op slot gedaan om aan te tonen dat wij een besloten ruimte runnen. Vervolgens kwamen ze ene uur later trg met ME Politie en handhaving.

Zonder boete, dagvaarding of ontruimingsbevel heb k ze niet binnen gelaten waarop ze drna de deur hebben ingebroken en mensen hebben ontruimd. Nu is het pand effe gesloten & gaan we kijken hoe nu t beste verder.

Wat gebeurde vanuit handhaving kan absoluut niet, maar het heeft zo moeten gebeuren om aantoonbaar te maken dat het zo niet kan. Achteraf krijgen we ons gelijk wel en zal de schade gecompenseerd worden.
