We rejoice and give thanks to God that the Roe abortion opinion has finally been overruled. Over 63 million babies have been brutally dismembered since 1973. With this historic ruling in Dobbs, the fight for life will intensify.
The Dobbs abortion decision is a ruling heard ‘round the world. It is a monumental, culture-shifting reason to celebrate. Many children will live as a result of last week’s decision. We are in a new era and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish. But there is no time to waste. Forty-one states are still performing abortions.
On Friday, violent pro-abortion protesters surrounded the Arizona Capitol tearing down fences and kicking entrance doors to the building before tear gas caused them to disperse. This attack is only the start of a nationwide plan to threaten state and federal legislators. One lawmaker had to arm herself with scissors and hide in the basement!
And the battle is intense in Congress. There are two Republican and two Democrat pro-abortion senators who could vote to abolish the 60-vote filibuster rule under pressure to pass a bill that will force abortion on the states. We are only two votes away from erasing the recent abortion ruling. That is why we cannot rest.
An abortion bill has already passed the U.S. House and just needs to get through the Senate. Earlier this year, Democrat Senators Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ) said they oppose abolishing the 60-vote filibuster rule. So did Republican Senators Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK). And all FOUR want to codify Roe v. Wade as a federal law.
If only two of these four senators cave and support the “nuclear option” to erase the filibuster, they can pass the abortion bill. But it won’t stop there. They will use the hole created by this procedure to also pass the LGBTQ “Equality Act,” election fraud-enabling bill, COVID mandates, socialism and more. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is pushing hard to make this happen. If it does, the Dobbs victory for life will be in vain.
Manchin and Collins said they felt “lied to” by Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. Of course, neither would have said which way they would vote on a case not yet before the Court. Manchin and Collins are angry, nonetheless.
These senators are facing an angry, violent mob with nearly unlimited cash pushing them to destroy the filibuster. The pressure is immense. The senators need to hear from you now! Send your urgent faxes to members of the Senate to block any abortion bill and protect the filibuster.
If the filibuster is abolished, and abortion along with other bad bills become law, the elections this fall will not undo these terrible bills. Even if there is a change in leadership in the U.S. House and Senate this fall, and Congress votes to repeal these bills, Joe Biden will veto their vote. These terrible bills will remain law for more than two years—at a minimum!
Sen. Murkowski told CBS the Dobbs abortion decision “creates a growing need for the Senate to pass the ‘Women’s Health Protection Act,’” which is the abortion bill. In addition, Sen. Collins stated she supported Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Court because she “believed he would uphold Roe v. Wade.”
There are three options Sen. Schumer can use to push abortion:
- Employ the so-called “nuclear option” to destroy the filibuster.
- Add abortion funding to the upcoming budget reconciliation process, which only needs 51 votes.
- Use “unanimous consent,” where a few Democrats in the wee hours of the morning vote after a budget bill (that requires only 51 votes), when Republicans have left the floor but before the Senate is gaveled out.
Meanwhile abortion radicals are throwing rocks through windows, firebombing pro-life centers and organizations, chaining themselves to fences around the Supreme Court, throwing red paint in front of the Court and threatening bodily harm to Justices and lawmakers. A group called Jane’s Revenge has reportedly taken responsibility for many terroristic attacks, vandalism and firebombings … but the U.S. Department of Justice has done nothing!
Members of Congress need to hear from you. It is no coincidence that violence erupted in the Arizona Capitol last Friday. This is the home state of a critical vote on the filibuster—Sen. Kyrsten Sinema. She is facing immense pressure.
Make no mistake, the abortion bills are still live in Congress. Fax our U.S. Senators to block abortion bills and preserve the filibuster.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) declared “the hell with the Supreme Court” after the Dobbs decision was released last Friday.
Standing in front of the Supreme Court in March 2020, Sen. Schumer threatened Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, saying: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!”
Abortion advocates are vicious in their attacks. They have released the whirlwind. While we rejoice in the Dobbs victory, we must understand the threat and fight for life.
