Danish study shows near-zero vaccine effectiveness against Omicron
Denmark collates some of the most comprehensive and accurate health statistics in the world, so Danish studies are eyed closely.
A preprint recently released analyses effectiveness of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines against Omicron infection.
The results are appalling. Pfizer peaks at just 55% at day 1-30, dropping to near zero after 2-3 months and MINUS 77% at 3 months +
That’s right – a substantial negative efficacy against transmission.
Moderna fares even worse, peaking at just 37% after 1-30 days and soon dropping into negative efficacy.
A minimum requirement for FDA vaccine approval is 50% efficacy. Will the FDA now be withdrawing these vaccines from use?
The study authors make no attempt to understand the huge negative efficacy post-3 months, merely observing: ‘The negative estimates in the final period arguably suggest different behaviour and/or exposure patterns in the vaccinated and unvaccinated’.
Yet the study concludes with the inevitable ‘These findings highlight the need for massive rollout of vaccinations and booster vaccinations.’
